We’re on a mission — and it’s one born from heartbreak, resilience, and an unshakable determination to create change.
Our journey began with a tragedy that no family ever expects. On December 22, 2022, our vibrant 4-year-old daughter, Addi, was struck by a vehicle while out looking at Christmas lights with her dad and brothers. In an instant, our world shattered.
Addi suffered a traumatic brain injury known as a Grade 3 Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI) — one of the most severe forms. She also had a fractured skull and displaced vertebrae. She was given a 0.07% chance of survival. But Addi is a fighter. Against every odd and expectation, she survived — and continues to defy the limits placed on her.
Her survival lit a fire in us.
We quickly learned how underrepresented and under-discussed both traumatic brain injuries and pedestrian safety are. We were shocked by the lack of awareness, the staggering statistics, and the absence of clear resources for families thrust into the world of TBI. We realized that if we felt lost, others must feel even more so — and we couldn’t sit back and do nothing.
That’s why we created Addi's Miracle TBI Advocacy & Pedestrian Awareness and Survivors Against Distracted Driving — because awareness can save lives, and education can change outcomes.
We are here to:
- Advocate for survivors of traumatic brain injuries.
- Raise awareness about pedestrian safety and the devastating consequences of distracted driving.
- Provide support and resources for families navigating life after TBI.
- Push for change in policy, infrastructure, and education across the nation.
This isn’t just a cause — this is our calling.
We carry Addi’s story with us in every conversation, every event, every effort to make the roads safer and the support systems stronger. Her fight fuels our purpose.
If we can prevent just one more family from experiencing this kind of pain… if we can help just one more survivor find hope in the darkness… then we will never stop fighting.
We’re here. We’re determined. And we are not going anywhere.
Join us. Speak up. Stand with us. Together, we can save lives and shine a light in the world of traumatic brain injury and pedestrian safety.
